Fletcher the rescue dog, AKA Prince Frisky as he is known by his admirers, is an ever loving snack hound. He was adopted the week before Christmas in 2020 at the age of four months. Yes, he was a covid puppy just looking for his furever home. Fletch was a sad little pup, afraid but not alone. Because he was transferred from an over crowded shelter in Texas to the great white north of Minnesota, Fletcher's acclimation period was substantial. He arrived with kennel cough, wasn't potty trained, and had a sick tummy for days. Nevertheless, Fletcher soon connected with his new family of humans and his newest, bestest dog companion Stella by Starlight. Life coach and nanny dog Stella taught Fletcher essential traits of dogginess such as peeing on snowbanks, retrieving tennis balls, catching frisbees, and snuggling under blankets. One quintessential trait Stella was able to impress upon the youngster was mastering the many ways of snack time. Oh let me count the ways.

  1. Snacks after going potty outside
  2. Snacks for going into the kennel to rest
  3. Snacks to sit
  4. Snacks to come
  5. Snacks to stay
  6. Snacks on holidays
  7. Snacks when your mom puts a headband of bunny ears on you for Easter
  8. Snacks when you bring the ball back
  9. Snacks for walking like a good boy on a leash
  10. Snacks, just because (SNACKS!)

Snacktime Research

My research has shown that snack time preferences may be impacted by many things.
